Mark
I haven't heard anything about this but it wouldn't be surprising some builders go under in US and/or Canada considering the decline in housing markets.

Dear Larry:

There is a nasty rumour that has been running through the financial community and various US websites. It is “alleged” that a certain homebuilder will be filing for a US Chapter 11 for their US operations and possibly a CCAA filing in Canada. If this allegation is true it would have devastating effects on the new housing market. KPMG are the auditors of this large Canadian new home builder. Is there any truth to this rumour?
(This post was edited to remove name of homebuilder - ed.)
