The anti-Harper crowd is making way too much out of an off-the-cuff comment on taxes made by Canada's prime minister.
As we know, the proposed HST for Ontario will increase the sales tax by 8% on new houses selling for more than $500,000. This percentage will decline as prices get lower, becoming zero at $400,000.
